Using a AMD 64 -3.0 ghz with Windows XP Home SP2

I get the following message when trying to install a program which is suitable for Windows 98-ME-2000-XP

16bit Windows Subsystem
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS & Microsoft Windows Applications. Choose close to terminate the program.

I cannot find the Autoexec.nt. file in the System32 directory even with Show all files turned on.

The program will install onto Windows XP Pro SP2 with a celeron 799 (2nd PC) & Windows 2000 with Windows 2000 SP3 (laptop).

Any constructive advice would be useful.
