Honestly? I wouldn't go for any of them if you do photoshop work and multitask.

Quad core with a 64bit operating system is your way forward. You could also use a dedicated graphics card as this will take the weight off the rest of the system - it doesn't need to be good, it just neds to be there.

With buying at the moment you should get an upgrade voucher for Windows 7.

  OTT_Buzzard 11:53 22 Jul 09

PC2 with a suitable hard drive looks good and would be interesting to know max RAM capacity / freq for the motherboard (for future upgrade purposes)

PC4 also looks good, motherboard only support max 4GB RAM so no upgrade possble there. Not sure if that matters to you though.

As user8 has pointed out, W7 upgrade vouchers are well worth having.

Can you give an indication of budget? May be able to point out alternative sources.

I meant that *PC5* also looks good!

Originally my budget was £400 but if I need a quad processor I guess thats now up to £500, no monitor or anything else needed just a base unit.

If anyone knows where I could get what I want for cheaper r a better PC than the ones I've listed I'd appreciate it. If not it will be one of the ones listed so any opinions greatly appreciated.

thanks.

  OTT_Buzzard 20:49 22 Jul 09

Am guessing that your PC4 was from Cougar Extreme?
Go for that, but add a graphics card and don't do the silent PSU (they're not that quiet anyway!). Spec somethng like this:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 Ghz 12Mb Cache,
4Gb Corsair Memory DDR2 1066 (2x2Gb)
500GB SATA Hard Drive
512mb 9400GT PCI Express Nvidia DDR DVI
QCE- MSI G31M3 - INT - 1333FSB DDR2 800x2 G31 chipset
DVD+/- RW - 18X Samsung Lightscribe
Integrated Sound Card
64 BIT Windows Vista Home Premiem
13 Month Warranty, Free Carriage
