Perhaps the product was intended for the Siberian market ;o)

But in all seriousness, there was a television programme on a few months ago, dealing with this very subject about fakes, and how they are getting into the normal supply chain all to easily. Perhaps regular quality control checks are proving to expensive, and reliance of other peoples observations or complaints is becoming a normal way of life!.

is it allright to use on fake teeth.

A Daily Mail article said a customer reported that the toothpaste bought here tasted & smelt of Germoline; an ingredient of which is Phenol, also known as Carbolic acid.

Antifreeze, as found in the USA supplies, would be undetectable by either taste of smell. As we all know, Antifreeze is highly toxic if ingested, but I doubt anyone will consume toothpaste.

However, it seems that major UK retailers have been obtaining their supplies from doubtful sources.

I recall some Austrian wine producers being hauled over the coals for adding antifreeze to their products...:-)
