I want a new PC with Win XP

I'm helping a friend with the purchase of a new PC, flat screen monitor and printer. Max funds available £500.
It's for home office-type use: emails, word processing, etc. Not gaming
There's quite a lot of choice, but she wants Win XP NOT Vista and all that I've come across run Vista.
Any advice please?

We've also been to see what's on offer locally and she may go for a laptop as space is at a premium.
Our local pc shop has 2 laptops with very similar spec:
1. Samsung R40; Intel Celeron M 1.73Ghz; 512MB DDR2 RAM; 80GB Hard drive; 15,4 inch Bright TFT LCD display; Internal DVD-RW/R DL; 1x Cardbus slot. It also has a card reader. £449.
2. Fujitsu Siemens Amilo V3515; Intel Celeron Mobile 1.73GHz; 512 Mb DDR RAM; 60 Gb hard drive; 15.4inch TFT display; Internal CD-RW/DVD-ROM. £399.
In other respects they are much the same: both run Win XP; have 4 x USB2 ports; internal 56K modem; internal 10/100 Network and 802.11G wireless cards; their sound cards and graphics cards are different makes (but for her usage neither is critical).
We could dither for ever, but I'm off on holiday next week so want to get it settled before then.
Any advice welcomed – otherwise we may toss a coin!
