High Res Printer help please

I currently use a Kodak ESP C110 with my PC running Windows 7 for general printing scanning.

But the resolution I obtain even on "Best" setting is not crisp enough for a specific task.

I build quartz wrist watches as a hobby. As a preference I go for ones with the stem at 4 O clock which I admit is a bit retro but makes mine that bit different. As nearly all quartz watch movements these days are made so the stem is at 3 O clock I have to realign the date numbers when I use a date window dial and movement.

I therefore need a printer which will print onto sticky labels and water transfer decal sheets. I was thinking of just a mono coloured machine but occasionally need another colour e.g. red.

Any advice will be very much appreciated, Bern
