Hi-Res "Light" Notebook suggestions?

After my CRT monitor gave up "red" this week I'm considering replacing it with a notebook. I have however grown used to a resolution of 1600x1200 which I miss when I have to use anything lower.

Does anyone know of any notebooks that offer something close to this...ideally with a weight under 3kg. Other "must haves" are 512mb RAM and WiFi.

Cost isn't essential at this moment but if it was around the £1200 I wouldn't be in too much pain!

Mate your requirements are tricky. I would try the Evesham C510 notebook. Upgrade screen to 1680x1050. Weight is 2.9kg. Pentium M processor 750. 512 RAM 533mhz. Not bad at £1,106. If you wanted to upgrade the RAM to 1024 cost increases by £90. I think it meets your requirements and I hear good reports about Evesham. Hope that helps. The Tiny Pentium M C755 would be ok at £1,099 but the screen is only 1200x800 and to be honest I am not a fan of their service.
