Hewlett Packard IP4 524 processor T3529UK

  highgrove 03:05 29 Sep 06

Anyone know anything about this machine. We are thinking of buying the processor as my old desk top corrupted during storm.

I don't have broadband so will have to have a dial up put in.

Any advice welcomed.

I tried to find it on the net and couldn't; if you have seen it on a web site, copy the address and paste it here.

OK - got it.

It's not bad but there is no port for a decent graphics card so no gaming will be possible.

There are free PCI slots so you can add in a dial up modem without a problem.

It all boils down to the cost and what you want it for.

Not interested in gaming but do want to use for downloading photos from digital camera and editing them. Will this affect that or any other graphics etc that you would be using on clip art or powerpoint?

It will be ok for photo editing but might struggle with video work if you get into that; for security, I would prefer something with at least an AGP slot for upgrading the graphics component.

What is your budget? Someone may be able to come up with an option.
