what is the best card for £100

  TOPCAT® 23:13 16 Mar 05

Personally, I like the Sapphire ATI range and these even include some with the new PCI Express interface should your motherboard have it. Three have 256MB of installed memory. Post and packaging will be extra of course. TC.

Depending on really what games you play the choise is hard.

For £129 9800 pro

Is fantastic, it will also play the lastest games but on a lower resolution. You can buy cheaper models but the performane is quite different.

I also have a 980 pro and there aint nothing out there at the moment that it can't cope with. Software tends to take ages to catch the hardware up. For example, Half Life 2 was demo'd towards the end (and one assumes developed/tested) on this card. Fair enough, you are probably looking at 1028/768 resolution, but that's my favourite anyway.

I would like an X800XT but as this is still well over £300, I think I'll hand on.

Have fun..
