Hello,
I am a newbie here and would appreciate someone with more techno skill to help me decide which I should choose or avoid.
Or is there a better alternative?

I want to play fallout 3, mass effect 2 etc.

I want the best I can get but can't spend more.
So a lesser machine but upgradable would be a possibility. Thanks in advance for any help.

I would go for the Dell, the new XPS models are fantastic performers and amazing sound from the JBL speakers and built in subwoofer

The one with the best graphics (GPU) by far of the lot is the Medion with its GTX 460M, so that would be my choice for a 'gaming' laptop.

If you compare the GPUs using this rather helpful laptop gaming performance benchmarks list click here, you'll see the GTX 460M is 14th best, while the GT 435M (Dell) is at 49th & the HD 5650 (PCS) is at 50th.

In terms of GPU, there's a slightly better MSI GX740 click here for £880 with a HD 5870, which comes in at 12th. It has a larger 17.3" screen as well. G
