Im looking to upgrade parts of my PC for better gaming.

Im looking for -
Power supply

my budget is around £600
the biggest problem im having is finding good quality components that are compatable.
any help will be apriciated.

i have currently found a couple bits that i think will work well.
please tell me what you think or if you can suggest anything better.

Power Supply - OCZ Technology 600W Active PFC GameXStream SLI Ready

Processor - AMD PhenomX4 9850 BLACK EDITION AM2+ 2.5GHz 4MB CACHE

Don't forget to assess whether your case cooling is up to it. Depending on what games you intend to play the 512MB 8800 GT is a good choice but a 1GB 8800GT will be better--does nor run so hot and has slightly better performance overall.

Consider the Be Quiet Dark Power Pro PSU. A well built modular 650W PCU which really is as quiet as a mouse

With the PSU you need to allow for any peripherals which run off the computer rather than there own power source. Both my scanner and USB hub draw their power from the computer.

I've got 2GB of DDR2 RAM i believe.
