...New stuff starts out expensive, then is tried out by the masses. If it catches on, the price comes down. If not, the idea fails and nothing is lost but the research.

Personally, I think it is a good idea. I remember a few [no, more than that] years ago, a friend paid £600 for a new computer with just 64 Kilobytes of memory and no hard disk or even floppy drive!

O.K. that machine failed in commercial terms, but I think we've moved on a bit since then.
We could all be in for some big changes!!!
