I have started a small film company and I want some more storage for films. I want everyone in the office to be able to access the information on the hard drive from both pc and Mac so that eating will be more streamline. I've looked into drobo and I like the look of the B800i but it seems a little expensive. I like with it that it uses 1 hard rive to protect everything els and more than one person can access the information. What is the name of that type of file storage or what would be the best thing for me to get? Thank you in advance

How many TB'S of storage do you think you'll need

Thanks for replying. I would quite like it to be expandable. At the moment we are using 6TB inside my personal built PC. From the beginning of having the storage I would like to have at least another 4TB to start but then be able to go up to allot more, somewhere around 40TB.

I think Drobo may not be the best choice for you. There are better, faster RAID5 or RAID6 solutions available.

I suggest that you take a look at this.
