feed back

i wonder if these poor IT companies that everyone complains about on this forum get any feed back from it? if not then they ought too.

if they did then some of them might change their poor customer service.

The level of complaint is pretty low, really, compared to motor car returns. Even after dealer valeting about 1 in 3 are brought back for snagging of some kind. Which is not that sharp considering it's a £10,000 to £15,000 purchase, at the least.

Of course there are PC disasters, and some go on a bit, but you must remember that not every thread would pass the Abe Lincon test.

I can vouch for the fact that quite a few of the computer retailers certainly do watch forums such as this and take heed of the comments. Broadly speaking, those tend to be the companies that attract fewer complaints.

To some extent a company that is seen to monitor these forums could do its image more harm than good. If people see them dealing with things on an open forum like this they are likely to post their details. If however, nothing gets said in the open the company can choose to deal with compalints (or not) in private.

There are those who watch and respond when they feel they need to. It changes over time, and some employees (Chris/Colin - Time) seem better at some points in dealing with points raised than others.
