Epson MFD CX or RX

Looking into multifunctional devices for home use (e.g. school projects, Digital camera, scaning old negatives and slides etc). So considering CX660, RX500 or RX600 and woundered if anyone had any views on them?

From what I can see the main difference is that the RX has a greater optical scanner resolution (2400 x 4800 dpi). However in the recent PC Advisor top 10 charts the CX6600 (£125 Dabs) finishes in 1st place with the RX600 (£174 Dabs) in 5th. Is this due to higher purchase and running cost, slower test print speed or something else?

Just remember with any MFD if any module goes wrong it all goes wrong.

It might be better to buy separate units, like a printer, a scanner, a copier and a fax machine.
