Elite is the fourth largest motherboard manufacturer in the world and I used its P6BXT-A+ board for around four years - never missed a beat and rock steady performance.

The reason i asked was that Nonvatech Laptops are made by ECS/Uniwell. And wanted to find out what they are like.

Should read Novatech & not Nonvatech

The vast majority of cheaper laptops (especially those manufactured in Taiwan) are normally rebadged for other brand names - Acer and Asus models are particularly noted for being rebadged.

Even Dell and Sony have used/use the rebadged route - Dell's Latitude XI, for example, was a rebadged Samsung Q30 and the Sony PCG-9L1L a rebadged Quanta model.

It also seems that the Advent 7080 that was sold by PC World a little while back is the equivalent of the Elite 910 - looking up reviews should help to pinpoint any strengths and weaknesses.
