Hello

I have been asked by a friend to get him an internal DVD+ writer. Any recommendations for one under £50 off t'internet? The PC World one is not on offer any more.

He is not bothered about speed. He just wants it to be able to write.

Thanks in advance

Paul

I have the Pioneer but the Benq and the LiteOn are just as good + cheaper.

NEC, Pioneer and LG are the usually recommended brand. Could get them all for less than £50 in Ebuyer as OEM version. Am currently using LG GSA4160. Quite and no problem so far. Better than Fujitsu and Asus that I;ve used before.

Scan of Bolton click here has a large choice of top brand DVD rewriters, including dual layer, from £35 to £36 upwards including VAT.

I thought this one looked reasonable: Samsung 16X Dual Layer DVDRW (click here)

Are Samsung reputable for their DVD writers?
