DVD Format

I have just bought a PC with a Dual Layer DVD Rewritable drive +R/-R/RW.

I wondered if anyone could advise on the best format to use and the discs to buy?

Depends what you want to do with them. If you want to play them on your/others domestic DVD players you need to find out what format your domestic player is. Most are -r a few are +r and there are a lot of multiformat players out there. My domestic player is multi format (not multi-region though) so I can use any DVD disk. Once you have sorted that bit out check out this previous thread for where to buy.

I find that +r DVDs are slighty dearer than -r.

If it is 8x -r having looked aroun d the net Datawrite Grey Classic with Fuji dye seem to be the one to use at the moment, seems as people are having mixed results with Ritek GO5 dye.
4x I use Ritek inkjet printable GO4 dye.no problems at all with these.
