DVD Burners

Hey all,

I've got quite a lot of stuff on my laptop, and my hard drive is only 20-30GB. I was thinking of buying an external DVD burner so I can use them as a storage type media.

Do u think this is a good idea?
Has anyone got/tried external dvd burners and have any opinions on them?

Also, is it possible to upgrade a laptops memory?

Any opinions would be very much appreciated!

LiteOn SOHW-1653SX External 16x DVD-Dual Drive - Retail £61.79 click here

another way is to get a portable external HDD: FREECOM - 40GB FHD-2 PRO EXTERNAL HARD DISK DRIVE £89.91 in PcWorld click here

the third way, replace your HDD with a "bigger" one and put your old HDD in an external enclosure box as used it as an external HDD
