Downloaded this but it asked to register then asked for payment. Thought it was a free download and usage software.

Read the EULA, under software and you will see it is not free to use only to download and install.

You can use it free to see whats out of date but if you want it to download the drivers for you then there is a one off payment. I've used it for years saves going round the different sites finding and downloading the drivers.

Im the same as Kevscar, have used it for years as a freebie as it highlights which drivers are out of date. Then go to manufacturers site to download those I want to update.
