Drive bay sizes going metric ?

What size are your hard drive and optical drive bays ?

3.5" and 5.25" .... not 88.9 mm and 133.35 mm !

Will we ever go metric ?

I can see 100 mm hard drives to allow for greater capacity but not only are data / software DVD's & CD's only suitable for the 5.25" format but also music / film DVD's & CD's.

Go for a wider format of say 150 mm and our PC's get wider.

Consumerwatch "Advice about what to buy and were to buy it"

Speakers Corner "Lively and thought-provoking debate"

Are my threads ( this one and the one about the 3 TB drive ) not ripe for thought-provoking debate ?

I am not asking for advice and I know wrer to buy a 3Tb drive !

Don't understand your logic ... sorry !

Unlikely to go metric as the computer sector is dominated by the US who don't believe in such things.

That's why we're still buying items with 454g contents - just one example - Asda sausages
