Do I need to change all my Bank card security data

I decided to change all my security card details on my barclaycard. But due to making a mistake my card was blocked.
I rang Barclaycard and they gave me a temporary number etc.
On going back onto the internet I noticed that they had givem me my original username but they said I must change my passcode and my memorable word. I changed both and I am now back on line. But one thing bothers me.If someone as my original username they can say they have lost there password and memorable word and then get onto my account.Do I need to also change my username,as barclaycard gave me the impression that I am better leaving the username as it was?

Keep using your Username - the new password, memorable name or date etc are the important elements security wise for logging on.

Recently Barclaycard changed the design of the web page and how you log on.

After you have logged into your account at the top click on your details from here you should be able to change your user name, memorable word or pass code.
