Dell, Warranty Extension ?

Ok, looks like my PDA is a year old cause the lovely people at DELL have sent me a letter on extending the warranty. Now, ok it might be a half decent deal cause they've given me 30% off but is it really worth it ?

'My Price' £94.59

Quite high i think but this is my first PDA so no real experiance of these things as they start to get a little older.

Don't usually bother with extra warranties... BUT...

What do you lot think ??

I wouldn't. Seems excessive and I bet it doesn't cover the battery.

Hardware does not normally fail after the first couple of months until many thousands of hours have passed

However, renewal depends on what is covered for a laptop. Pinching? Dropping? Coffee?

For basic computer cover, no. You can buy a new one for 5x

Accidental cover and theft might be worth it, but you can always try the household all risks for that

I just remembered I had one of those today for a £10 Printer I bought a year ago. I've just dug the letter out of the bin:

£94.59 (including VAT mind) for 3 year at home service.

The printer was binned after the ink ran out.
