Defragmenting Problem

I Have been trying to defragment my hard drive, but everytime it gets to 10% the message is displayed saying the contents of the drive have changed and it goes back to 0% and starts again this seems to be as far as it will go can anybody help?

Yes! turn off your screensaver, then use ctrl/alt/del. keys together and when the window opens,close all programs except, explorer and sys. tray.

defrag will now fly through, on finishing restart your PC to bring back the progs. you have closed down.

First: Open in "Safe Mode". Press F8 as you start up the computer. When the screen opens use the down key to move the cursor to Safe Mode. Press the Return Key to OK.

Second: Close down Screen Saver and and other energy saving modes.

Third: Run Disc Clean.

Fourth: Run Defrag.

Fith: Restart and Restore Display settings.

Disk Keeper Lite seems to run fairly happily even with other programs running. It also seems quicker that the Windows Disk Deframenter
