CyberGhost Premium VPN on PCA Cover Disc - No Good For Me.

I measured the download speed of my computer prior to installing CyberGhost from the disc.It came to 14.49Mbps.I get this speed as normal from TalkTalk as I live 100 yards from the Exchange.

I installed CyberGhost realising that I should get at least 6Mbps.I then tested my download speed at one minute intervals and got 2.84Mbps, 5.29Mbps and 3.17Mbps respectively with 3.766Mbps being the average.

I uninstalled CyberGhost after five minutes. Checking my download speed after uninstalling it went back to 14.87Mbps. It seems if you have a download speed like mine, CyberGhost is no good as it strangles it with its worldwide servers to keep me anonymous.

Sorry PCA and CyberGhost.I've gone back to 'InPrivate Browsing' with IE9.

I recently tried a similar programme and had exactly the same problem as you did. I can't remember the name of the programme but it only lasted for a few hours before being deleted.

If you are sensible, don't visit dodgy websites, run a good AV and Mbam then you shouldn't need anything else.

I dont see how a virus checker can stop someone reading intercepting your internet traffic when browsing via a public wifi. Surely this is why you would install vpn, to stop that?
