Converting from BT Midband to ADSL

I have recently had the BT Midband service installed but it now looks likely our local exchange will be ADSL enabled later this year. Could anyone confirm what charges are involved in having my line converted to ADSL ?

firstly, can u tell me more about midband as i am thinking about getting it....

what kind of connection speed did you get and what were download speeds like??

is it noticeably faster than 56k or the same speed but just enables phonecalls as well?

I have a conference call booked with a BT broadband expert - I'll ask him, and get the information straight from the horse's mouth.

Just because you don't sleep doesn't mean BT experts should be kept up ;-)

Ah the service we PCAers enjoy :)

At a quick guess AJC I would expect BT would charge the same for going to ADSL from Midband as they do from 56k. You could argue for a discount, but the conversion is likely to be done by a different BT company to the one that do Midband!
