Confusing Information from D-Link

I currently have a D-Link ADSL router and enquired if there were any coptability issues with XP x64. I was informed that it simply would not work but I wasn't given a valid technical reason as to why. (I presumed it may have been somethinh to do with TCP/IP or IE). So I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try...It worked fine - as well as it does in XP 32 bit.

Why would D-Link tell me otherwise? Was it a poor advisor or poor training...? I wouldn't have expected this from a company as reputable and large as D-Link...

Possibly just lack of knowledge on their part. With Windows XP 64 there can be driver issues - but of course a stand-alone adsl router just uses the standard tcp/ip protocol.
