I am using an Acer travelmate on loan from a youth group. I need to transfer 2o gb of video data from Adobe elements 1 onto my desktop PC to complete the project, I figured the easiest way was with A LAN. The message on the LAN set up wizzard on the Acer reads this computer belongs to a domain you cant use wizzard to set uo a network, I have adminstators rights.
I have to return the Acer this week it contains
about 50 hours of editing work!.
Please help

Wouldn't this have been better in the network forum. It seems this machine is normally connected to a domain, and that's what it is looking for. Try disabling the network connection (Control Panel\Network - right click and choose disable.) You could then see if you can set up a new network without the existing interfering.
