1st of all. Here is my old Desktop:
Dell dimension dim4600
intel pentium 4 cpu 3.06ghz,512mb of ram
Graphics= Geforce FX 5200 128mb

The new LAPtop i want is:
XPS M1530
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache)
4096MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x2048]
320GB (5.400rpm) SATA Hard Drive
NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT with 256MB dedicated graphic memory

ok.. thats that. I want to play flight sim x which runs really badly on my old dell, would you recomend XPS?
Which computer is better? XPS or my old dell?
Also, are how do ghz work? the bigger the better or smaller the better?
Which graphics card is better?

Hey I have a hp dv7-1000ea can get the specs here click here cost me £680 when i brought it and it has a better graphics card in it the nvidia 9600m GT. I have flight sim x installed on and it runs pretty well, I can run the game with max graphics normal flight in unbuilt up areas but if i want to fly in somewhere like new york i have to lower the settings from very high to high.

Not sure how the 8600m gt will cope will probably have to run the graphics somewhere between medium and high. I know I looked at the xps machines before i got the hp but no machine came close to that graphics card for the price.
