Please don't get at me for advertising! These cards really are cheap, though. I've already ordered an AGP X800XL for £68 all in.

6600GT for £55, 6800GT for £90 etc. etc. They keep adding new stuff all the time, too. It's like some mad online jumble sale.

Nobody will get at you for "advertising" - it's the people who post links to their own sites or e-Bay offerings that offend...:-)

Looking at the prices, my whole computer system is only worth the amount of the lowest price card :o)

  Cybermaxx 14:14 22 Apr 06

Hehe, well they "relatively" cheap! They've even dredged up an old Ti 4200 from somewhere or other. for anyone who's sick of their MX400 or whatever, a £60 vanilla 6800 or a £55 6600GT could be considered a worthwhile upgrade.

Btw, SPuds. They have an MX4000 for £5.88 on there. That must be one heck of a PC you have!

Cybermaxx-- I was having problems with google earth, and error messages stating that my graphics card was not suitable. Not into gaming or high graphics wants, so what would you recommend!.

Would mention that I bought a secondhand ATI Radeon 7000/VE/Dual Display/ AGP Video Graphics card a short while ago, but not having much knowledge on these things, haven't installed it as yet. Do you know of any comparisons against this card the cards in the link you have supplied!.

  Stuartli 15:27 22 Apr 06

The Radeon 7000 is a very basic card.

By the way, speaking of offers, a 200GB Maxtor with 8MB cache at a few pennies over £50 is now on offer at:

A Radeon 7000 versus a nVidia 6600GT? Hmmmm, wouldn't like to say.......... Close.

No, not really. 7000 is ancient. Just install it and see if does the job for you.
