I like many other people purchase as a consumer domain names and use the services of Nominet. But doe's this make me a member who is entitled to vote!. click here

To do so you would have to pay a joining fee of £400 plus VAT and an annual membership fee of £100. If you want to sell domain names you'll have to run a Name server, and have a fixed IP address, and become involved in hosting web sites - not something that is likely to apply to the average computer user. It gets expensive, and my advice is to carry on as you are.
