The link doesn't seem to work

I can't see how this can be achieved for £9.99pm.

There has to be a catch somewhere - support costs is an obvious one. Advertising streamed with the connection?

Don't get me wrong; great news if it works, but the cynic in me is calling...

Quote from today`s Daily Telegraph:

"Carphone said subscribers to its fixed-line service would receive free broadband as part of a bundle that includes UK and international phone calls.

The deal was priced at £9.99 a month - compared with standard broadband rates of around £14.99 - although customers will still have to pay a monthly line rental charge of £11".

Cost is £20.09 inclusive. I welcome this and wish talk talk every success. I am sure we will see more offers both with and without reduced service as the competition becomes stronger.

Good news!

If you are a One.Tel customer you can get the same offer...:-)

Ring 0845-8187159 - I've just done the basic sign-up.

Just need a MAC code now...

Let's leave the dust settle and see how it pans out. I admit the offer looks very tempting but how many subscribers crammed onto the same BB unit ? 50 to 1 (norm) or up the rate to make it pay. At that price something some corners will have to be cut. It will definitely shake up the other ISPs.

Rang Tiscali for a MAC code (0845-0774488 if you are interested) and was immediately asked why I wanted to change and whether I would be interested in my service being upgraded?

Politely said "No thanks!"

No further pressure and MAC code promised by e-mail ASAP.
