Canon Selphy DS700 or SELPHY CP400

I'm looking at getting a dedicated photo printer and have narrowed it down to the Canon Selphy range ,but I don't know whether to go for the DS700 which uses inkjet technology or the CP range which uses 'Dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing system'.

Has anyone got any experience of these or comments.

Any welcome.

Thanks.

I have a CP400, the only advantage is that the ink cannot dry out as it is like a roll of clingfilm in 3 colours. The paper moves sedately in and out of the printer as each colour is applied and the final pass adds the glaze. The wife bought it but we do not use it all that much, works ok when we do, you need to keep all dust off the paper as you get blotches on the dust spots.
