I am looking for a reasonably priced Canon printer with the separate cartridges for all the colours. Does anyone know where there is a bargain on one of these? Thanks

Hi RobG126. I have the Canon i850 [i865 is the later model but very similar] The i850 is superb for a printer in it's price range and I can't fault it.

The text is so rich and sharp that you can compare it against a laser printer,It's only if you have both samples side by side that you will notice a slight difference even at the smallest font setting. j.

Epsom Stylus C84 which is an excellent photo printer with separate ink tanks - around £79

You won't go wrong with a Canon. I have an i850 and bought an i865 for a friend. The results from both, whether photos or letter/documents are superb.

The ink cartridges, being separate tanks are less wasteful and are reasonably economic to replace (I only use Canon originals from 7 day Shop).

Try

Run a search through each of them. I would personally buy from a uk based supplier even if one of the french companies comes up cheapest.

I've had an i865 for about a week . Believe me,it's as good as they say on the PCA review.Stunning photographic prints, very versatile and comprehensive software pack included. I got mine from Jessops at an online "price match". If you have a branch near to you,go to see them with a printout of online offers, they may do a deal for you.

I bought the i865 on PC advisor's recommendation and it really is excellent. Very fast, very good quality and more economical than other brands. Mine was £130 at PC World's website but that was a special offer and may have ended.
