Buying Pc...where do I start

Hi im looking to purchase a new Pc.This will be my first new Pc as one im currently using was gave to me but has now had its day.I dont know where to start so id be gratefull for suggestions. I mainly use the pc for surfin,emails,storing pictures etc,dont use pc for gaming but I do use it a lot for music playback so soundcard and good speakers would be ideal and for watching dvds I would like a 17"+ size widesreen (are the widescreen tft"s suitable for pc viewing?) Thats about it so Il leave the rest to you....

Visit their Web sites.

Visit PC World and have a sniff around. Take no money, at this point, you do not intend to buy!

This will give you a starting point.

Do not forget Dell.

The more you look the more confused you will become. Make a list of the items you fancy and stick a pin in it.
