Hi there, I'm getting a new laptop to go with me to university so I need it do do basic word processing etc. but I kinda like my high-end gaming and will not be able to finish COD4 and Crysis in time so they're coming with me.
I was wondering therefore what would be a suitable dx10 compatible graphics card for said laptop? Also, how much would it cost? And lastly, where should I get it from?

The specs I'm looking at so far are:
Core 2 Duo T7400/T7500 processor
2GB DDR2 667MHz RAM
160 GB 7200RPM HD
17' Widescreen
Nvidia 8000M series Graphics card
Vista Home Premium

Thanks in advance guys.

Dell and Alienware have two very high spec gaming laptops, there are reviews on this site somewhere. Looking at £1700 though which is fair hefty.
I might get a desktop with a quad core, because I can get a completely pimped out one for a much lower price tag.
