I'm buying a laptop soon with a budget of £500 and I was wandering what would be better:

Are there are any better laptops for under £500? I will be mainly using it for internet/office/videos.

but there are factors to consider.

1. The Advent machine has a bigger screen.

2. The Packard Bell computer has a smaller screen, but weighs almost a kilo less.

If you're not intending to travel with this machine I advise that you go for the Advent. If you are going to travel buy the Packard Bell. As someone who travels with a laptop a great deal I know only too well how much difference a kilo makes.

I'm not much of a traveller so I guess it will be the Advent then, thanks!

You'll enjoy the bigger screen, and Advent machines have a good reputation.
