Budget gaming PC

I am looking for a new PC, I realise there are lots of threads on this already throughout these forums, some of which I’ve read (some I haven’t) but thought I would add one more to the list.
I am needing a new PC as my last one has just gone bang! (Processor appears to have burnt out). In the past I have customised them myself with varying degrees of success, however this time I would rather get a system pre-designed.

It has to be cheap (£500 probably top limit, and base unit only), I use it heavily, both for games (online 3D, although not often ones requiring the very top end of specs) and work, which often includes messing about in photoshop/illustrator and one or two slightly more niche software packages that have similar demands. As such looking for best graphic/processor capabilities within budget. If it doesn’t have them built in it needs to have room for PCI cards as I need wireless, and like 5.1 sound. Other than that it doesn’t need to be massively upgradeable, although it should be good for at least the next three years.

Finally ideally it should be fast in its delivery (in the past I have had 2-3 month waits on PC that have been custom built/from specialist shops, this is not an option this time round)

If you have ideas as to where to look, systems that could work then that would eb awesome.

Cheers.

Hi jdrh25 - Like you i am looking for a cheap gaming computer, it is for my son who has recently started playing a few games. There are a few companies we have looked into but the one that stands out is Cube247. My son would much prefer the Hydra system however with our budget i am looking at the Capella GT2 system which costs £429 delivered. Very good spec for the price i think, and it is avaliable for next day delivery which is a great bonus.
