Broadband dropped connection

I have a LAN set up here at home, with machines running W2k. We are using a D-Link Router, (previously we were using the alcatel modem, which worked fine, but meant one computer had to be on and act as a server), with a wire LAN, I also have a laptop, and I use a wireless network card with that. All the computers can access the net at anytime, and all at the same time if necessary. However.... I have noticed over the last 3-5 months, that around peak times our connection is dropped, and occasionally on a Saturday afternoon, I have been unable to connect to the net for several hours. Unplugging the router and replugging it in, sometimes seems to force it to "redial". I am interested to know if anyone else has had any similar problems. I am using BT, and have done now for around 18 months.
