I have been looking at the Philips PBDV16LSB lightscribe burner and I am puzzled by the quoted speeds and formats described by the above vendors.
Other vendors quote this drive as x2.4 for DL+R only, whilst these two quote DL+Rx8 and DL-Rx4. I telephoned Philips directly and was quoted DL+x2.4 only. I have e-mailed Big pockets about this but have not had a reply, it is a bit strange and I wondered if anyone has this drive and can tell me once and for all what the speeds are.

From the specification on the Philip's web site.

Recording speeds : 16x on DVD+R, 40x CD-R, 2.4x on DVD+R DL, 8x on DVD-R

How can they advertise it as this then?
They even purport to have a .pdf file from Philips.
