I am going to be traveling alone throughout europe this summer and i have been thinking of getting a sat navg so i don't have to stop all the time to read maps [which is not my strong point]. but there is just a mass of options and i've got weary of trying to work out what is best. So i'd be very grateful if some of you could give me the benefit of your knowledge. tom tom seems the most obvious but i'm trying to keeps costs to a minimum, so i wondered if using a pda is a realistic alternative or what about a phone? many thanks in advance

I bought a tom tom 1 with European mapping a couple of years ago for a driving holiday in Germany. click here This is the type I bought. It worked faultlessly and I would recommend it to you.
