If you plan to go ahead purchasing any Acer product I would strongly suggest reading all forums first.
Go to Google and type acer forums.

I will shortly be taking Acer to a small claims court over the poor service and lack of response from Acer Plymouth repair centre. Sent my Acer monitor back 3 weeks ago, no one knows when I will get it back.

Dell Inspiron 6000...wide screen and superb performance from the 1.3 Celeron (you will not need a bigger processor despite what the anoraks will tell you. I have set up 17 of these so far and you will not get better for around £441.click here

hi gandalf took a look at the dell on the home screen its advertized at £414 but when you click on it to look at the specs it goes up to £679, and as for hearing bad reports about acer i think if you look at any manufacturer you can find bad reports and stories

You have to read the instructions very carefully and opt out of the 3 year rtb warranty (-£129ish).

If price not too important go for the Acer, better graphics, Pentium M processor.

Otherwise the Dell is a good deal or this click here has just been spotted on another forum, similar spec to the dell but can be had for £359.

Decisions, decisions!

P.S. I have an Acer Pentium M and it's been great.
