Best Buy (Suggestions for £400-680) [PC BASE UNIT]

Hey Guys,

I've been looking around for a new PC and thought I'd stop in here for advice before I make any final decisions. I have between 400-700 to spend, hoping to hit the 500-600 mark really, 700 is a stretch.

There's a few things I'm looking for...

8600/8800GT (Nvidia graphics cards)
2gb+ RAM (preferably 3/4gbs)
Vista Premium
300gb+ Hard-drive.

Can anybody suggest a system or seller that'll provide something close to that spec for around that price?

I've found the CUBE247 Zuben 712:

4GB ram
8600gt
500gb HD
Vista Home Premium

For £520, or £680 with an 8800 512mb.. but I've held off buying because they seem to have a pretty bad rep amongst you guys, and haven't replied to my e-mail inquiry.

Cougar, and Novatech both offer similar systems but Nova do not offer more than 2gb ram at that price and Cougars web-site service has been really hit and miss for me. I can't even get onto Cougar Extreme, and systems is up and down like a yoyo! It doesn't fill me with confidence, but I hear their a good brand.

If you had £400-700 to spend on a 'Gaming PC', and were buying between now and March.. what would you go for? (BASE UNIT ONLY)

Forgot to mention, I'd like a Core2Duo processor as well.

I would consider this click here because Novatech have a very good rep for after sales service.

Ha!

Just got onto Cougar Extreme web-page after having tried all day. Managed to mash up this system quickly..

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33 GHz 4Mb Cache

4GB Kingston DDR2 667 - 4 x 1GB single modules

300GB SATA Hard Drive

320Mb Nvidia 8800GTS graphics card DX10
QC - ASUS P5N-ESLI 1333fsb-DDR800x4 SLI
motherboard (Dual graphics)

Samsung DVD +/- Re-writer

No Floppy Disk Drive

Integrated Sound Card

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premiem (OEM)

Free Carriage

13 Month Warranty

Would this set-up be a decent gaming platform for the likes of Crysis and it's brothers as well as future releases? ..Including MMO's such as Age of Conan?

Prices in @ £609.24

It's a decent price from a company with a fairly good rep, anybody see any obvious flaws with it?

(This system would be used for gaming, a lot)
