Does anyone know of a good Broadband provider in the UK?
One that doesn't want to take over the line rental. (I want to stick with BT for line rental and phone calls.)

I also can't see me using more than 5GB per month.
I don't mind a yearly contract.

Thanks,,

From homework I've done I would check out Zen.com. They only ask for a month notice and get very good write ups. You keep your BT line. I also keep BT but have Vonage (Vonage.co.uk) as a very good VOIP service - £7.99 a month to all UK, Ireland, USA and a host of other places, and you do not need any software, just keep your router on and a normal phone plugs in with a second phone no.

It really is a matter of personal choice. Everyone has good and bad tales of most ISPs.
I moved from Virgin 'cos the speeds were terrible, I can't get a cable connection, and they didn't seem to care.
I'm now with Be click here, apart from the very occasional interruption,it just works, I get c.a. 20Mb D/L speeds and technical support, although offshore, is effective and free.
One thing to check is how much calls to technical support cost. While we all hope never to have to use it charges can rapidly mount up at 25p to £1-00 per minute.

try adsl24. they are a monthly contract as well with customer service on an 0161 number. the phone is answered in seconds and not in deepest calcutta. the staff are polite, knowledgeable and patient. I would also add they do not read of a prescripted reply and are able to react to any query. at £19.99 they are never going to be the cheapest, but their connection is rock solid and there is no throttling at all.
