Being paranoid... security check please

I've just bought a new laptop, and after having a lot of problems with my old one I'm a bit paranoid about internet security now.

ATM I'm running Norton AntiVirus (bundled with the LT... free until Jul 2005, then I have to pay a subscription)

SpySweeper3 and MS own firewall is enabled.

Should I be doing anything else? Can you run more than one anti-spyware/adware program at once, or is this redundant?

Yours in paranoia...

Try PrevX ( it is still free ) and seems to be an "All singing and Dancing" programme.

PS I also have Spybot , Spywareblaster Ad-Aware and Norton.

..it isn't too sophisticated but it will keep an eye out for any browser helper objects being installed, or anything adding itself to your startup, or anything changing your hosts file.

I just use that plus AVG for virus checking and a hardware firewall (part of my ADSL Router) and been fine so far.
