APU or CPU + GPU?

Hey, I'm building my first ever PC soon and really need some advice on a couple of things. I have a price budget of around £400 - £500 but I really do want to play the latest games on medium - high settings.

I know putting together an Intel i5 processor (£125+) with a decent graphics (1GB GTX 650(£80) WILL give me a better performance but AMD's A10 (£75) just seems like such a better option for my budget.

I really need to know the upgrade ability if I buy the AMD A10. (Can I crossfire it with a high end Radeon card within 2 years and still achieve medium - high settings on the latest games?

Would I be better of waiting it out and getting an i5 with nVidia graphics card?

Maybe if someone can recommend me a System Build for around my budget, that would be great.

Many thanks, Oliver
