Another Mesh problem

A friend of mine bought a Mesh Elite just before Christmas last year. From the start she had problems of a minor nature (freezing screens) but managed to use it mostly.
She had initially specified a floppy drive but it was not present on delivery so Mesh sent their local agent/repair person to install one. After this (and I should add that it appeared to two persons who were present that he did not seem to really be familiar with what he was doing) the PC completely failed to boot. The repairman said he thought it was a motherboard problem.
So far no success in contacting Customer service, except being told to hang on for ages (on a premium rate number) so she wrote saying she wanted a full refund as the PC is 'unfit for purpose' under the Sale of Goods Act. Then a letter arrived enclosing a postage label and advising her to return it for repair. A further letter has had no response at all and we are now considering a trip to Mesh HQ in the manner of thakkar (see his thread).
Any comments would be welcome.
