AMD Bulldozer Benchmarks released

For anyone interested in AMD's upcoming CPU, Tom's Hardware have released a review. I must admit, I am slightly disappointed with the results, although my gut feeling has always been that they were going to struggle to compete with SandyBridge. I was at least hoping that it may cause Intel to drop the prices of its SandyBridge range which, if anything, have rose slightly since its release early this year! I'm now doubtful about that too.

Bulldozer is now available for pre-order. eBuyer expect release on October 28th. Pricing is:

AMD FX4 4100 3.6Ghz 4MB 95W - £89

AMD FX6 6100 3.3Ghz 6MB 95W - £140

AMD FX8 8120 3.1Ghz 8MB 125W - £165

AMD Bulldozer FX-8 8150 8 Core 3.6Ghz - £200.
