An alternative to the Dymo?

  powerless 20:00 22 Nov 03

You've seen this on the TV eh? click here but have you seen the prices?

A nice idea but the price is a little too high for me.

Any alterntives?

...i know you can use your own printer but such a nice little device would be good.

I use an A4 sheet of sticky labels in the printer. The advert is a triumph of the unecessary for the unwary. Meh x 5 methinks.

'LabelWriter uses thermal printing technology, which can print in black only'...another reason to take the rip out of this item ;-)))

PCW flog 'em but I am sure that those who have PCWphobia can buy them from Staples, Office World etc. You can buy the Avery ones or get PCW own brand ones. Setting up the printer is easy as there is usually a template guide included.

off to the pub.

Why not just use the Envelopes and Labels facility in Word?

It's free!

Or, of course, Avery Labels 3.0 I use Avery Labels and every label template is listed and prints perfectly. Try click here

The 310.

It's big, makes a noise, not fast, but good.

  Newuser2 19:15 20 Aug 04

I've got a 310, was very fast on PC with ME, on new PC using XP its a bit slow, but it does save having to type labels and fiddle about feeding labels into a printer.
I've seen the 310 on offer but I can't remmember where, sorry.
