All is forgiven Sir Clive.

Most of us oldies remember the Sinclair C5 don’t we?

Have a look at this expensive gem! The Twike from FineMOBILE GmbH.

336V NiCd or NiMH batteries. (Lethal voltages).

Pedal assisted.

Joystick steering.

Rear wheel removal must be carried out by a service partner.

Care must be taken not to leave the canopy open in the strong sun. This may lead to a fire by focussing the Sun’s rays on the plastic body of the car.

On the Twike active model, it states that you must not step on the carpet, only on the transverse bar. The plastic floor under the carpet is not built for supporting your weight.

Only one main UK service partner. A bike hire company.

Cars cost £11,990 to £12,390.
Batteries £3,180 to £6,980.

One has to admire the company’s total honesty in mentioning some of the above details in their .pdf file.

Vorsprung durch Technik maybe, but unglaublich!

'Cars cost £11,990 to £12,390. Batteries £3,180 to £6,980.'....yeah right, looks like it has sunk in the water.

336V NiCd or NiMH batteries. (Lethal voltages).

It is amperes that kills, not volts.

  Arnie 16:41 29 May 06

You are quite right and 336 volts is more than enough to push the required current through ones body resistance.

The voltage is also d.c. This will also cause serious burns. This is why the manufacturer of the vehicle says it is lethal to touch the battery. In fact it is sealed and made very difficult to 'get at'

All this is mentioned in their pdf file.

Sir Clive Sinclair was, in many ways, ahead of his time.

"Sir Clive Sinclair was, in many ways, ahead of his time". Yes and at least his car was easy to sevice.

Have you seen the onboard computer of the Twike. I bet it costs a fortune to replace!

"his car"

Are we talking about the bike with the washing machine motor?
