Seems traditional to make a topic about these PCs, so......

This spec. is from a flyer. Can't see it on their site yet.

Intel Core 2 Quad 8300 CPU (2.5 GHz, 4MB cache)
4GB DDR2 RAM (2 x 2GB)
1TB HDD
nVidia GeForce G210 512MB GPU
Windows 7 Home Premium
Card Reader
etc.
etc.

£349.99, with a 3 year warranty.

Seems alright, apart from that awful GPU. If they'd slapped another £30 on the price and fitted a GT 240 or HD 4670 instead, I might well ahve bought one of these PCs. No mention of the PSU. Probably nothing special.

On sale on the 7th anyway.

If like the last lot of laptops that they were selling.Only 3 was for sale in each branch of Aldi's.
There were a lot of unhappy customers and a few of them that use PCA.
So if you are interested it is better for you to be waiting for them to open the doors in the morning to save disapointment.

"If they'd slapped another £30 on the price and fitted a GT 240 or HD 4670 instead,"

You could buy one separately & fit it. I reckon either will run off the supplied PSU.

You will need a better PSU if going for a GPU that requires external power.

The GeForce G210 isn't that bad really (better than integrated) - just not suitable for demanding 3D games. G

Yes, but it would cost £50 or £60 quid, and wouldn't that invalidate the warranty anyway?

The G210 offers about the same gaming performance as the ancient GeForce 6200 or ATI 9600 Pro. It's rubbish by today's standards.
